About

I am a Registered and fully insured Personal Trainer, and Clinical Nurse Specialist with an MSc in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Public Health, as well as a Certificate in Counselling. I am also a Nutritional Adviser. Additionally I have qualified in ‘Adapting Exercise for Older Adults’ and ‘Exercise/GP Referrals’.

In addition I have recently completed a Royal College of Nursing (RCN) module about redefining frailty as a long-term condition, as well as Macmillan Cancer Support ‘Move More’, Macmillan Cancer Support ‘Understanding Physical Activity and Cancer’ and ‘Parkinsons Awareness Training for Exercise and Physical Activity Providers’ (Parkinsons.Uk).

My particular interests are  those who want to gain confidence to join a gym, those with long-term health conditions, those lacking confidence to get fitter, those who want to exercise in the safety and security of their own home, those a bit unsteady on their feet, fallers, the elderly, in fact- anyone just daunted by the whole fitness or ‘gym thing’, young or old!
